Handmade Book: An antidote to nostalgia
After an extend break, I’ve been making one-of-a-kind art books by hand again. Collage and paint on repurposed, thrift store, children’s books.
This one is an imaginary catalog of people from my hometown in New Jersey. There are ghosts to be wrestled with, I suppose. Hand tinted photos, burned and scrapped, under a heavy coat of encaustic wax. Loose leaf ring binding. One of One.
