Handmade Book: elegy for elise

After an extend break, I’ve been making one-of-a-kind art books by hand again. Collage and paint on repurposed, thrift store, children’s books.
This one is a tribute to my first art teacher who nurtured my budding interest in photography. Gone but not forgotten, just like those bittersweet days of youth. Images culled from 16mm educational films, then hand manipulated, burned, scraped, painted and taped. One of One.
